Natural Cultivated Christmas Trees

In an effort to preserve the environment, the BL Christmas Trees team has put great effort into research and refinement of pest management systems. Low-Spray and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the very best long-term approach of pest management that uses many different current & progressive control strategies to prevent damaging pest populations and minimize environmental impact.

This consists of physical work, such as base pruning, spacing and removing witches brooms (a dense mass of shoots growing from a single point) along with the release of ladybugs, parasitic wasps and hoverflies to control aphids, and insecticidal soaps are used in place of pesticides, to control damage where possible. Pesticides are used only as an ultimate alternative, applied at the lowest rates possible and only when absolutely required.

Herbicides are used in a low-spray method, avoiding the middle of each row and then covered with hay to prevent soil erosion, and eventually increase organic matter in the soil. As you can see, our care for the environment is something that is very close to our hearts.

Not only can you have the peace of mind knowing that our trees have been treated using the least harmful methods possible, but also that they will be amongst the healthiest and best looking Eco Friendly Christmas tree available.

We believe of contributing to a better world for the generations to come. You might take this as our, let’s say… Christmas gift to you!
