TRANSPLANTS & SEEDLINGS
Farming seeding BL CHRISTMAS TREES is fully dedicated to grow high quality Christmas trees. To be able to grow the best possible trees available on the market, quality of land and transplants are the two key factors. Everything starts with the transplants that will be used when planting trees in the field. Transplants are about 5 years old when ready to be used for growing Christmas trees. All transplants are carefully inspected and selected manually one by one. We use only transplants with a very strong genetics. Our Fraser fir transplants come from seedlings from two major summit in the Apalachian mountains in North Carolina, ensuring the silver-blueish reflect underneath their needles. The Balsam fir transplants are from trees specifically chosen in the orchards over the years for their double needle pattern, late blooming and dark green color, ensuring an above average needle retention.
