SIZING TREES

Sizing of trees is another important aspect of growing Christmas trees. Trees are measured directly on the baling machine, from the bottom of the stump to the top of the last crown once the tree is baled. Please note that the leader of the tree is not included in the measurement, making sure the sizing is accurate and generous. All trees are identified with a colored sizing tag or a spray paint dot on the stump as follow:

(4-5) feet	Purple
(5-6) feet	Green
(6-7) feet	Blue
(7-8) feet	Red
(8-9) feet	Yellow
(9-10)feet	Orange
(10-12) feet	White

This color coding is the same, for all trees. Please note that BALSAM fir Christmas Trees are baled with WHITE color roping, and FRASER fir Christmas trees are baled with BLUE color roping.
