TREE PLANTATIONS

Tree plantation

Balsam fir and Fraser fir Christmas trees are grown in our plantations on the best land in the area. We grow about 1350 trees per acre of land, many hundreds of acres exclusively dedicated to Christmas trees. Plantations are well maintained from April to December every year, resting for the winter season.

Trees are planted in rows, about 5 feet between rows and between trees in same row. Each tree grown in the plantations is fertilized twice per year, sheared once per year. We start base pruning when trees are 4 feet high and above. We use IPM AND LOW-SPRAY method to minimize negative impact of herbicides and pesticides. Going green is important for next generations to come.

Remember: One acre of christmas trees in plantation produces enough oxygen for 18 people.
